Sweet Root Vocalist, Percussionist & Multi-Instrumentalist: I feel most alive when I encounter sound in all its shapes, colors and sizes. Since I was young, learning to deepen my relationship with music became my opus in life. I injoy playing with others as well as awakening the medicinal effects sound can bring to the human body, mind and spirit. I feel we can all benefit from music as a tool to invigorate and connect us to our divine gifts.

Sweet Root Guitarist & Vocalist: I’m most myself when in Awe, Wonder, & Joy. This has been my guide since I was knee high in the deep forests of Virginia. I can vividly recall looking up under the silence & shadows of a vast canopy towering above me. It was dizzying. Mesmerizing. Light sparkling through. One of the first times I became aware of a vast Silence within and without. I feel we can all benefit from being immersed in Nature - remembering what it truly feels like. I love experiencing life this way, in the feeling of wonder with friends, family, & loved ones. I hope to continue to do so within Sweet Root & our Sound.

Sweet Root Acoustic Bassist: I’m most myself when I am with friends and family, playing music or spending time outside. I feel we can all benefit from the experience of listening to live music, enjoying the sunshine and trying to remember what is most important to us.

Sweet Root Drummer & Rhythm Architect: I feel most alive when I am traveling the rhythmystical pathways of life…drumming, gardening, living in gratitude, and performing as an architect of energy, with a keen sense of awareness, and a dose of humility. A musical ambassador for the spirit world, built from the roots of the ancient drumming traditions of Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. I feel we can all benefit from exploring our modern expansive paradigm through music with the goal of developing community and culture - from the roots up!
